The Button Tree project, exhibition, book and archive have been wholly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund
(East of England).

This the Field Theatre Group’s 4th such grant. The Heritage Lottery Fund has been a principal funder of much of The Field Theatre Group’s works since 2013.

Of course, grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund are only made possible by National Lottery players.
We would like to let everyone know that the money contributed by National Lottery players is vital to the continuing work of organisations such as The Field Theatre Group.

The Littleport Button Tree project was also selected as one of three featured Heritage Lottery Fund projects in Cambridgeshire.

Robyn Llewellyn, Head of the Heritage Lottery Fund (East of England) said:

It’s fantastic to see Cambridgeshire communities using their heritage to explore and share local stories, thanks to support from National Lottery players. Heritage is not just about buildings; it’s people’s personal experiences that tell us what life in Cambridgeshire was like throughout the 20th century. These projects will save important memories and engage new audiences in the stories of our past.
